The University of Alberta’s Construction Management & Administration Certificate (CST) explores the planning, technical, financial, and legal aspects of the construction business to allow learners to develop and expand their managerial skills and advance their careers.
If you work in the construction industry and are seeking a competitive edge to further your career, this certificate will greatly increase your ability to compete and succeed.
In a nutshell, the CST is a flexible, part-time program for individuals who are in, or transitioning into, construction management roles. The certificate includes a mix of core and elective courses, and courses have been scheduled to allow certificate completion in as little as 1 year!
Courses in this program are accredited for the Gold Seal certification (Canadian Construction Association) and for the Blue Seal certificate (Alberta Advanced Education—Apprenticeship and Industry Training).

WBF is the leader in preparing women for economically prosperous careers in industries like construction, where women have historically been under-represented.
When a woman enters a career in construction, it leads to economic freedom, personal confidence, and growth that are also transformational for their families and their communities.
We at the ECA are so impressed by our friends at WBF – particularly, the care and skill they invest in recruiting and supporting highly qualified women. The numbers speak volumes: 90% of the women they work with find placement in their industries. That's an incredible win for Albertans, and a win for the construction industry.
